WHO AM I?
I’m a book coach, proofreader, copy editor, and editor
The titles I most treasure are wife (of 14 years!) and mom; my son is 12 years old and my daughter is 10 years old.
I currently live in Charlotte, NC. We moved here four years ago from Stamford, CT after 13 years there. I was born and raised in Monongahela, PA (small town about 25 miles from Pittsburgh).
The course that taught me the biz and anything and everything in between is from the Art of Proofreading. My mentor, Phon Bailey is THE BEST with over 15+ years experience in the game and now she teaches people with a natural eye for spotting errors that love reading how to make a career out of it.

WHO DO I WORK WITH?
I work with writers! My book coaching clients hold a special place in my heart. When I first started, I worked as an editor on various content but my first book editing client was Kimberly Joy Morgan, owner of Do All Things With Joy and as they say, the rest is history. (Love you, girl!)
I fell in LOVE with helping people accomplish one of their biggest dreams!
I help the best real estate team in Charlotte, Graves Realty Group with editorial support around their monthly community service and client appreciation efforts. OK, I’m partial because I love them, but this husband and wife team really are the best! If you are looking to sell, buy, or invest in North Carolina or South Carolina call them, they are experts!
I work with a local non-profit, The Sandbox, with editorial and communication needs. We help families that have a child with cancer, life-altering, rare and terminal illness. I’m the copy editor of a dope quarterly online magazine that tells black stories, Modestly Bold Magazine. The EIC, Nateneshia Renee, finds the most inspiring and informative people.

Favorite color: Black. I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker color.
Favorite flower: If just one I have to go with ranunculus
Tea fanatic, the experience, the process, the act of enjoying. All of it.
Bible verses I hold onto: Joshua 1:9, Proverbs 31:25, Psalm 46:5, Proverbs 26:1
Favorite cocktails, fresh margaritas with salt and dirty martinis with blue cheese olives
Yep to those last two favorites ... I know ... right when you thought you could put me into a box. ;-)
Moments that take my breath away every. single. time like it’s the first time: sunrises, sunsets, the beach, the view from a mountain top, and a clean kitchen. ;-)
When I say I’ve been blessed with the best clients, I mean it! I may have helped them accomplish a bucket list item but they have also deeply enriched MY life. God never makes accidents with who (and when) he brings people INTO your life (and also who he removes, Amen? Amen!)
